Truedan’s signature milk tea recipe contains classic brown sugar and carefully selected teas.
There’s a new bubble tea shop in town! Calgary is now home to Truedan, the self-proclaimed “masters of brown sugar drinks” formerly known as Jenjudan that was started in Taipei, Taiwan. Truedan’s unique boba drinks, already popular in several Asian countries, are bathed in hand-cooked brown sugar, served with milk and perfect 0.85 cm bite-sized bubbles, and contain no aroma chemicals or food colouring.
Truedan’s most famous concoction, the Brown Sugar Pearl Milk ($6.75), is known as a Taiwanese delicacy. You can also pick from their other flavours such as Brown Sugar Pearl Lemonade ($5.95), Oreo Brown Sugar Pearl Milk ($6.95), and Passionfruit Green Tea With Nata de Coco & Black Pearls ($6.75). To further customize your drink, you’ll be able to choose your sugar and ice levels and any toppings you’d like to add.
Want to try one of these yummy bubble tea elixirs? The shop is located at #18 1015 Centre St NW in Calgary, Alberta and is open from 3 pm to 9 pm during their soft opening hours.
