The Last Stronghold takes attendees back to that dark period of the Inquisition. Created by the pope in the Middle Ages, its role was to search, judge, and condemn heretics in Carcassonne — among so many other cities in 14th century France.
Tired of experiencing this relentless injustice, the citizens of Carcassonne appeal to their king to obtain his protection. But as they wait for his arrival, they form an alliance with Simon — a young lord from the north — to defend the city. The Last Stronghold plunges you in the midst of this excitement and bustle, appointing you to guard the city walls and liberate its people.
As social unrest grows, you’ll discover the hopes and fears of the people of Carcassonne, learning more about the city to better stand up for justice. It’s a real journey through history that blends fiction and reality for an emotional experience.
