Talk about taking your holiday experience to the next level.
No need to head to the North Pole to find Santa — it appears he’s bringing his elusive workshop and bundles of Christmas joy to our very province at the summit of Sulphur Mountain during the Banff Gondola Mountaintop Christmas! As of next week, you’ll be able to heighten your holidays at this one-of-a-kind Christmas experience in the mountains taking place from November 14 to December 31.
The mountaintop Christmas event will have a variety of fun and festive activities in store for all ages, including but not limited to a visit with Santa, a gift wrapping station, cookie decorating in the bakeshop, Christmas movie screenings, an elf name generator, a maple toffee tasting station (one sample per guest), and an adult beverage bar. We recommend checking Banff Gondola’s website in advance to plan your visit, as a number of the activities will be exclusively available during certain dates and times only.
To discover and partake in the merry fun that awaits at the top, you simply have to purchase a Banff Gondola ticket and ride it up the mountain. Ticket prices range from $42–$56 for adults and $21–28 for children depending on the day and time you choose to go. Once you reach the summit, all the activities are included with your admission, although food and beverages are not and will be available at additional cost.
Tip: You can get one free child admission for each paying adult if you visit before 12 pm noon.
After a year-long barrage of unpredicted occurrences, we all deserve to ease our minds and treat ourselves to a mountaintop celebration that is sure to make for some unforgettable Christmas memories.
