Studio Bell is bringing an immersive New Orleans live music experience to Calgary — with music by Louis Armstrong, Jazz Standard and more

The Jazz Room is a live music experience built around one curated musical theme per performance, presented in an intimate format over roughly an hour with musicians performing the material in real time. Each edition stays with a single thread, which allows the phrasing, improvisation, and character of the music to come forward clearly—whether the focus turns to New Orleans traditions, celebrated artists, or the broader language of jazz standards and swing.

In the end, what lingers is the sound of musicians listening closely to one another and the room settling into that exchange with them. In Calgary, The Jazz Room feels shaped as much by attention as atmosphere: the bend of a phrase, the weight of a pause, the recognition that live jazz can still hold a crowd without needing to raise its voice.

Prepare to be dazzled by talented musicians at Studio Bell on select dates over the coming months, with two back-to-back sessions scheduled for 6:00pm and 8:30pm. Each performance lasts about 60 minutes and the event is suitable for audiences aged 18 and over.
